‘I Fuetsan I Tao Tao’ Pocket Comic Book Series

I would have blogged about this much earlier, but I gave all my comics away for Christmas and forgot to take a picture of them before I wrapped ‘em up. However, I finally got a chance to buy another handful this weekend at Best Seller books for a little under $3 bucks each.

The first issue of the ‘I Fuetsan I Tao Tao’ comic book has roughly 26 pages of black and white illustrations and is personally autographed on the back flap by the Los Angeles based graphic artist and illustrator Bill Lu.

Also with the pocket sized comic book comes an opportunity to join a talent contest. I don’t know if you need to purchase a comic to participate, but as far as I know all you have to do is email one illustration and one paragraph describing your character to: guamfeaturefilm@gmail.com by February 1st of this year. I believe the winner will have their character feature in the up coming issues of the ‘I Fuetsan I Tao Tao’ pocket comic book series and receive credit for the creation of their character. For more information check out their website at: www.ifuetsan.com

  1. Posted this on shoyoroll a few days ago. Looks pretty promising.

  2. oh yeah bro, no doubt. i just met Johnny H and Cotch, the crew for I Fuetsan. cool peeps… they’re way taller than i expected. :) I feel good vibes with I Fuetsan.

  3. The comic is a good comic, but I hope the story gets juicier throughout the series, the first comic seemed pretty bland to me. But what can I say, I’m a huge comic fan and it takes a lot to impress.

Bill Lu’s art is good, but at times seems to be a lil bit lackluster … but it’s a good and promising comic book, I just wish the artwork wasn’t so anime styled (IMHO). But I do enjoy the free goodies in the bag too, and I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

Also, Cotch is a great designer, I used to follow some of his art.
I always like how he used the moniker “Digital Vandal”. :)

  4. Hmm, I might just grab this some time.
