Yep, you guessed it! Just like a page out of a horror flick, as the wife makes her way to the tub what does she see? A huge visitor. AND she took care of it before even calling me! Great job! I feel safe now.

Oh – and if you look closely, the dang thing has hair on it. No good.
Comment by Don Muna on 11 March 2009:
Dude, this is why there are rumors about Guam having trantulas the size of VW Bugs… Kel wears a size 9 BTW. Be back in the next 48 if we don’t get snowed in here at Burlington.

It’s good that you remember my shoe size so you can bring me back some bad-ass custom-printed Nikes! And I said Nikes not Jikes or Yikes.

Also, this pic was taken after the fact. You should’ve seen how big it was when it was moving! No good.

I have to say, being the victim in all this (yes me, not the spider), the picture doesn’t even do it any justice at all because all its creepy crawly lets are now limp. Let’s just say I was too shocked to run or scream. It was looking at me. I backed out slowly and decided I had to kill it or it would go somewhere else. I unleashed a whole can of RAID on its spider butt.

Um sorry, I did mean creepy crawly “legs”

That close up shot will give me nightmares for a few days…ew….kalakas yan na’ma’nao…
On a lighter less creepy crawly note, the discussion of spiders on Guam the size of VW bugs, reminds me that there was actually a Guam movie called “Arachnid” that wasn’t actually filmed anywhere near Guam, but was about massive spiders killing natives on the island of Guam.
Here’s the trailer.

WHAT!?? They stole me and Kel’s next movie project idea!

You go, Gumshoe!! We once had a spider in the last apartment that was bigger than my husband’s hand-we were all totally freaked out. We attempted to brush it outside, but it got dead on its way out. And you’re right, they do look smaller after. I think I might have had to leave the house if I had seen that on my own. Well done!
Comment by Gumshoe on 11 March 2009:
Sarah, believe me, I wanted to run and get Kel first but I thought what if we came back and it wasn’t there-then what??? Shiver.
Comment by Sarah on 11 March 2009:
Oh yes, you are right, Gumshoe! You think well under pressure!
