Hafa Adai Everyone!

Please come out and celebrate with the cast and crew of “Shiro’s Head” at our “L.A. or BUST” fundraiser on Tuesday, April 21st from 6PM to 10PM at Ralphy’s Lounge in East Hagatna. We’re expecting this to be the biggest and most memorable celebration ever to happen on a Tuesday night, all thanks to the selfless efforts of Dee Cruz and friends, as well as the kind-hearted companies and talent that have contributed towards the cause!

The night promises to be filled with an array of local talent representing the art industries spanning from a variety of musical genres, (9 bands to be exact) to a Poetry Slam and local artists whose artwork will be displayed for silent auction AND believe it or not, a scooter from Cycles Plus will be up for silent auction too! (CLICK IMAGE FOR DETAILS).

All we’re asking for is a kind donation of $10 which includes a free drink, food and a raffle ticket.

The proceeds will help me and Don secure our round trip air fare and possibly help us with accommodations while representing “Shiro’s Head” at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.

TICKETS CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:

MeCasa 479-2272 and JB’s Ukulele Hut 472-8537 in the Agana Shopping Center.

For more information about the fundraiser or to find out how you can help, please contact Dee Cruz at (cruzdee7[at]gmail).

  1. Congratulations on the success of the fundraiser. Biba Chamorro!

  2. Dee is so awesome. Gotta get her skills in event coordination :P

  3. YAY! So happy the fundraiser is doing so well! See you guys there. =)

  4. awesome interview guys! =) LOVE DEE.

  5. Here’s some MPEG footage of our interview this morning. I have to send a big thanks to Kai and Kyle for being kind enough to help us spread the word in-studio to pump up the fundraiser. They were very selfless and generous with their time! Thanks guys!

  6. I heard this interview with the Morning blender on Power98… and also the in-studio appearance with Brian B on the 105 the Kat.
    Sound really good!!!!

  7. On 2:58 in the Morning Blender video post, Dee’s phone goes off… that was Lani texting… crazy Lani!

  8. Here’s more footage from KUAM News Extra with Sonya Artero and from FM104 with DJ “Q”. My sincere thanks goes to Sonya and KUAM for being very gracious by helping us to get the word out about the fundraiser. They were very generous with their time. (And there’s a surprise for everyone at about 09:00 into the interview!)

Also thanks of course goes to Joan Aguon from FM104’s Morning Show and to DJ “Q” from FM104! They welcomed us into the studios and were very supportive to spread the news about the fundraiser! For Q’s show, we brought Nick Baza (Oz) in-studio with us and he gave us a taste of his “voice-over announcer skills”!

(Man, I was kind of nervous on the Sonya Artero show and – out of all things – I forgot to mention the names of the bands that are playing on Tuesday – SO PLEASE FORGIVE ME! :( You can see that I had my cheat sheet next to me, but I totally forgot that it was there, so again, please forgive me for leaving out any specifics, folks. Live TV is some scary stuff.)

So – in efforts of redemtion and for good measure…

  9. Here’s some footage from Fredtastic’s show on Power98 and from Brian B’s show on THE KAT. They were cool enough to invite us in for a couple of impromptu interviews after finishing up on Travis Coffman’s show on K57 earlier this week. Big thanks going out to all of them for kindly extending their resources and for helping us get the word out. Thanks guys!

  10. Awesome interviews! Props to the efforts of Dee for making it happen and much love to my honey Nick and his voice skills. Best wishes to you guys in L.A. You both deserve it!

  11. Thank you so much, Zita! & yes…Kalaus definitely knows how to rock the mic!

  12. HAHA! Way to go Kalaus! It’s been a minute since I’ve seen him, or for that matter the whole crew back home…Don and Kel glad to see everything is going good.

  13. Way to go guys! wishing you the best!

  14. Thanks trench! we’ll see you at ralphy’s on tuesday. also, here’s more footage taken from this morning’s interviews with Francis at THE KAT and with Rick Nauta from HIT RADIO 100!

It’s truly amazing the love and support that’s been given from all of the above radio stations! True class, guys! Thanks again for being so generous with your time and for being kind enough to invite us over!

  15. WOO-HOO! Cycles Plus just upgraded the scooter for the fundraiser tonight! They’re hooking us up with the SYM Jet Euro 50cc instead of the Keeway Venus. This is a much higher quality scooter – and the starting bid is still the same! Thank you, Cycles Plus and we hope to see everyone at Ralphy’s tonight!

  16. That was awesome!! And the music-GORGEOUS!! And the art-Wow!

All the best to you guys, and great job to everyone who was helping tonight-so many-it was great.

We’ll be watching from here and rooting you on. Take care

  17. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who made last night such a blast! From the fantastic musicians to the wonderful artists, poets, volunteers, contributors and everyone who came out to show support!

Sarah, Miget, Jayton – thank you guys for attending! You guys are just so friggin’ awesome! It was an honor to have you all there!

I was so floored by the crowd – the vibe was very positive last night. It was beautiful to see the art community and then some have such a wonderful time. Thanks

  18. AND of course to Dave and Travis of JAMA Productions! Travis dude – thanks for helping us load up the chairs and for helping to break down the canopies and stuff. I know you didn’t have to, that’s why it meant a lot that you did. Thanks bro!

  19. Thank you so much for letting us all come along. It was great! I wish we had been able to stay long enough to hear the poets. I’m sure it was a triple wow!

  20. Don, I think a “Thank YOU!” was necessary in today’s phone conversation.
I did what I did because you two did what you did. I guess the love comes full circle.
Have a great time out there and I hope all goes well.

  21. Thank you again Lani… and thank you to all the contributors. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did. I loved it! My only regret is not having enough time to hang out with each and every one who showed up. Thank you everyone! THANK YOU!
