L.A. Day 06

Day 06 started with an early morning trek to the nearby Starbuck’s to help get us back on track. We had plans to catch up and visit our friends Dan Ferranti and Darcy Harris (who helped Shiro’s Head with its first ever critical screening before its final cut). We had a great time at the Echo Park Cinco de Mayo Olvera Street Festival listening to live bands and enjoying some good fajitas!

Later, we all headed over to the screening of a short film entitled, “Residue”, but they ran out of comp tickets, so we made the most of our night by doing what most people would do in search of a good time…KARAOKE! BTW, we were surprised that the karaoke place we went to in Korea Town had Kalapana songs in the book (Night Bird and The Hurt)! There was still that island vibe - even in Korea Town. :)

  1. Lovely ending!

  2. that’s too bad y’all didn’t get to watch “Residue.” at least you guys got to talk shop - namely, rad stuff like squibs and air compressors. hopefully you guys exhanged contact info w/ Wade & Co. maybe y’all could collaborate on a project someday. perhaps I could be the gaffer - better yet, the best boy. :o)

  3. Dan and Darcy in the fancy car, that was hilarious. Love the Karaoke bit ;) I love how Kel points the finger at Don in that end bit. LOL.
