A Special (J)B-Day Surprise

Just when I thought my birthday fun had come to an end, the following morning the family receives a special treat…a surprise birthday serenade complete with ice-cream cake from our friend and neighbor, J.B. of J.B.’s Ukulele Hut in the Hagatna Shopping Center. Yep, straight from bed and over to our house with uke in hand! How cool is that?

Anyone who knows J.B. knows that he’s a super-busy dude, so for him to go out of his way to make the morning memorable really meant a lot to the family. I doubt this would’ve happened if I were still living in California.

Thanks, J.B! Oh - and I haven’t forgotten about your S.D. DVD.

Also, thanks to all those on Facebook for the B-Day wishes…since I’m off the grid, the wife just passes on the messages to me. Thanks!

    sometimes we forget we can do stuff like this. ie, record ourselves and send to people over seas. my God Daughter here,got video birthday serenade from her cousins in Hawaii.

    Thanks, brotha Ray! These years go by way too fast…shoot…I can still remember vividly the young days of hanging with you and your bro…now we’re old. but i’ve earned these gray hairs. truss, it’s almost Thanksgiving and then Christmas and then New Years and then…too much, pow.
